Star Wars: The Old Republic – Expanded Free to Play Version
EA have announced that Star Wars: The Old Republic will get an expanded F2P version later this year, allowing players to take on any of the eight character classes up to level 50, from the current limit of 15.
Subscriptions will still be available for players who want unrestricted access to the entire game; Free to Play players will have some restrictions on access to new content and advanced player features. (more…)
Left 4 Dead 2 – Deathcraft II
Deathcraft II is a rather impressive mod and campaign for Left 4 Dead 2.. turning it into something that looks just like Minecraft!
Fear 3 Completed!
I picked up F.E.A.R. 3 during the recent Steam sales.. and before I could get round to playing by myself, a friend invited me along to co-op..
The host of the game plays as Point Man, so I played as his brother Fettel.. back from the dead and ghostly, with some very interesting psychic abilities! Without a body, I could still do damage from afar with a psychic blast, or up-close with a melee attack.. I could also levitate my enemies, pinning them in place for my friend to shoot.. a rather useful tactic at times, or shield him from damage.
My favourite by far was Fettel’s ability to take over and possess the various opposition forces we met! All I needed was a clear line of sight to first suspend them, and then get into their head.. with Fettel’s evil laugh echoing in my ears!
Mists of Pandaria Due 25th September 2012!
The fourth expansion for World of Warcraft, Mists of Pandaria, has now been given a release date of the 25th September 2012!
Majesty 2 – Completed!
Well, I’ve completed the campaign at least.. I have the extra missions, and various expansions to go! 😉
I was surprised, but pleased, by how tough some of the missions have been.. The Royal Feat caused me some trouble, though it did teach me to get heroes started on enemy nests as soon as possible, both for levelling and so that they start earning and spending reward money.
The next mission was the Mortal Foibles of Kings, in which I had to capture and defeat King Rat..

The Steam Summer Sale is now live, and will be running from July 12th to July 22nd!

Star Wars: The Old Republic gets F2P Trial!
Star Wars: The Old Republic now has a free trial!
This will allow players to level any of the eight character classes to 15, exploring the classes’ origin worlds as well as faction Capitals. Players will also be able to check out the game’s PvP, in the Warzones, or team up with friends for Flashpoints.
Existing players can also now refer a friend and earn the Kurtob Alliance Speeder when they upgrade to a full account.
Steam Summer Sale Leaked?
According to various sources, part of Steam’s summer sale has been leaked, with information on the Bundles having been discovered via the Open SteamWorks CDR database.
The Steam Summer Sale will be an eleven-day promotion, with an indie bundle per day as well as bundles from larger publishers and developers.. any individual titles, not part of a bundle, haven’t yet been revealed. (more…)
