Indie development studio 3 Sprockets today released Cubeman 2 on Steam, offering more of the addictive game play and unique features that made Cubemen, the award-winning 3D strategy action game a cult smash on its release in 2012.

Valve Adds Early Access Section to Steam
Valve has introduced the Early Access section to their library, where players will be able to discover, purchase and play pre-release games and offer feedback to developers.
Ubisoft and EA Sell Each Other’s Games
Ubisoft and EA are now selling each others games on the Uplay and Origin services (via RPS).
teamPixel and Indiegogo to Save Homeworld?
During the news about THQ’s assets having been sold at auction yesterday, there was no word of the Homeworld franchise.
Rob Santos, lead developer at teamPixel, enquired about the series and whether it would appear at auction, but was told that Homeworld is part of a “legacy assets bucket” and not yet up for sale. So for now, teamPixel are holding an Indiegogo campaign called Save Homeworld!

There have been a few Steam Box reveals this week: firstly, Xi3 announced a partnership with Valve to create a tiny modular PC codenamed Piston, which will make a first appearance at CES 2013.
Galagiveaways is Live!
Galagiveaways is the new giveaway website from IndieGala, where users can host and enter giveaways for Steam games.
To use the site, players must have a public Steam profile and a total value of games above $50, and must log in to the site with their Steam account. Players are awarded a number of Giveaway Points based on the value of games owned, plus 2500 for registering: more Giveaway Points can be earned by hosting Giveaways, and in the future, through exchanging the loyalty points earned when buying IndieGala bundles.
