Stay Dead Demo
Over the weekend, I checked out the demo for Stay Dead, a unique motion picture game by Brucefilm featuring round-based live action fighting with rhythm style controls.
teamPixel and Indiegogo to Save Homeworld?
During the news about THQ’s assets having been sold at auction yesterday, there was no word of the Homeworld franchise.
Rob Santos, lead developer at teamPixel, enquired about the series and whether it would appear at auction, but was told that Homeworld is part of a “legacy assets bucket” and not yet up for sale. So for now, teamPixel are holding an Indiegogo campaign called Save Homeworld!

THQ Finished: Assets Grabbed
According to MCV, Sega, Koch Media, Crytek, Take-Two and Ubisoft have moved in to buy up THQ’s assets at auction.
Legendary Pants
I completed Diablo III a while back, with a Demon Hunter.. and played around a little in Nightmare mode. I remember being frustrated because I had to resort to the Auction House: I wasn’t able to take on Diablo in the gear I’d found or crafted along the way. The loot drops were poor, and crafting was just too expensive and too hit-and-miss in terms of the magic effects. When you have to craft four or five pairs of boots to get a pair with your primary stat, that’s not fun.

Dead or Alive 5 – New Island Stage And More
Team Ninja have revealed that the 1.03 update for Dead or Alive 5 contains new content including a free new island stage, gameplay updates and improvements, and three new DLC packs featuring stunning new swimsuit collections to take advantage of the new tropical island setting.

Firefall: Public Beta Weekend
Red 5 Studios have announced that their free to play MMO FPS Firefall will begin its first public beta test this Friday, as part of a 48 hour Beta Weekend. To kick off the news, the studio has released a new action-packed trailer featuring the game’s latest content:

Wildman Kickstarter Request
Following the news that Gas Powered Games are having to lay off staff, studio head Chris Taylor has asked for support for the studio and their Wildman Kickstarter, which has 24 days to go to reach its goal of $1,100,000. Update #3 contains a video message from Chris Taylor himself, asking whether fans want the campaign to continue or not..
Dead Space 3 Includes Microtransactions For Crafting
Dead Space 3 is to include microtransactions during weapon crafting: Eurogamer discovered mention of downloadable content during a hands-on session with the game, when a player tries to craft a weapon they don’t have enough resources for.
