SimCity Launches.. And There Are Queues.
SimCity has launched in the US, and there are 30 minute queues to get in and play. The game doesn’t even unlock in Europe for another three days, so unless EA hurry up and add more servers, this is only going to get worse.
Ubisoft and EA Sell Each Other’s Games
Ubisoft and EA are now selling each others games on the Uplay and Origin services (via RPS).
Dead Space 3 Launches with 11 DLC Packs
Dead Space 3 is to launch with 11 DLC packs. The packs range from adding new weapons and suits to upgrades for the Scavenger Bot to improve its loot gathering speed, capacity, and even its personality.
SimCity Deluxe Edition
EA have announced that the SimCity Deluxe Edition will include three European city sets: French, German and British city sets.

Dead Space 3 Demo and N7 Armour
The Dead Space 3 Demo lands today for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3! The demo features a single-player segment as well as the new co-op play, hostile environment and weapon crafting.

SimCity Developers’ Reddit AMA Backfires over Always-Online DRM
The SimCity dev team held a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Friday, ready to answer fans’ questions about the game.
However, the game’s always-on DRM came back to bite them when one fan asked what would happen if they were to lose internet connectivity while playing. The first response from MaxisKip stated that the game would “handle ‘short’ internet outages gracefully”, but the clarification of ‘short’ was rather disappointing: “We will allow you to play for as long as we can preserve your game state. Battlefield 1942 Free on Origin
To celebrate the Battlefield series’ 10th anniversary, Battlefield 1942 is available for free, to allow everyone to see where the whole series started!
The game is now live, under the demo section on Origin.
SimCity Due on 8th March 2013!
EA have announced that SimCity will be released on the 8th March 2013 in Europe!
SimCity will be available for PC and Mac, and is available to pre-order on Origin.

Star Wars: The Old Republic – Expanded Free to Play Version
EA have announced that Star Wars: The Old Republic will get an expanded F2P version later this year, allowing players to take on any of the eight character classes up to level 50, from the current limit of 15.
Subscriptions will still be available for players who want unrestricted access to the entire game; Free to Play players will have some restrictions on access to new content and advanced player features. (more…)
