The Mad-Croctober Competition
Energy Drink company Mad-Croc, which launched a Mad-Croc themed mobile game at the Gamescom conference in Cologne in early August, today announced the company will launch the biggest global individual mobile e-sports competition ever. Mad-Croc will grant a prize of $100,000 dollars to the winner, making it by far the largest individual cash prize in mobile gaming history.

Firefall: Battleframe Trailer Challenge
Red 5 Studios are hosting a competition for their fans to create a trailer using unreleased footage of the game.
This is a chance for the fans to create introductions for the Assault, Medic, Recon and Engineer battleframes, along the lines of the Dreadnaught Introduction.

The team have provided clips for use in these trailers as well as instructions, information and rules here.
Prizes include a trip to Boston to join Red 5 at PAX East, an Alienware M14x Laptop, and a Firefall-branded Astro Gaming A40 Audio System.
I’ve been a little bit lucky..
Earlier this week, I noticed somebody talking about a competition on Twitter, to win a copy of Civilization V. I thought it worth a shot, and went for the competition myself.. and won!
So I have a copy of Civ V arriving early next week, and might well end up having a few days off Warcraft 😉
I then wondered what else was out there.. and came across a competition for Dead Rising 2. I wasn’t quite lucky enough to win that.. winning two games in a week would be pushing things a bit.. but I did win this pretty neat Zombrex Immunisation pen 🙂
I quite like the blue liquid swishing around in the barrel 🙂
