Q.U.B.E: Director’s Cut – Wii U

Q.U.B.E: Director’s Cut is the new version of the original indie physics puzzle game Q.U.B.E., released on Steam in December 2011, containing more challenges, an expanded story and new levels including the Against the Qlock time trials.  It has been released on PC and more recently Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and finally to the Wii U.  We received a copy of the game for Wii U for this review.

Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2 Release Date and Changes

Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2 has been pushed back a week, and will now be released first as a download-only version on Wii U on the 7th February.  PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will now follow on 8th February.

ZombiU!

We got our Wii U last week, but what I really wanted.. actually, what I’d wanted since I first heard of it.. was ZombiU, Ubisoft’s survival horror set in the middle of London!

Rather than jump in at the deep end with the hardcore Survival mode, I decided to try the normal game mode first, where the game provides you with a new survivor if you die.  Just as well, because my first survivor died almost immediately, dragged off that first ladder by the ravenous horde!  The poor guy didn’t stand a chance! Our Wii U and Nintendo Land

Tim brought home our Wii U last night, and as he’d done the tedious hour-long update at work, it was just a matter of setting up our user accounts.. individual accounts linked to the new Nintendo Network this time.

I decided not to bother importing my old Mii yet.. the transfer from the Wii is easy enough but both consoles have to be connected to the internet to do it.. and besides, there was a new Mii Maker to play with!

Nintendo to sell Wii U at a Loss

Nintendo has confirmed that they will be selling the Wii U at a loss.. despite the planned launch prices and their expectation of selling 5.5 million consoles by the end of the financial year.

The Wii U launches in Europe on the 30th November, with retailer estimates given to MCV suggesting the Basic Pack will cost £250, with the Premium Pack at £290, and the ZombiU version to cost as much as £330.
