Minecraft has been updated to 1.4.6 today, adding fireworks, enchantable boots and a Christmas surprise, as well as a few tweaks and fixes!

Players can also now gift Minecraft to their friends for Christmas, by purchasing a gift code on Minecraft.net, and printing them out as Christmas cards.

Mojang are now working on Minecraft 1.5, the Redstone Update, due in early 2013.
